I have a 2015 Macbook Pro with a El Capitan OS X, should I upgrade to Mojave? It'll run way smoother than El Capitan (which in my honest opinion is probably one of the worst software updates released by Apple for its generation of computers). Fixing Wi-Fi Issues in OS X El Capitan Oct 16, 2015 - 261 Comments Though Apple has largely resolved the wi-fi issues that persisted in some Macs with prior OS X releases, some users with OS X El Capitan may encounter wireless networking issues after updating to the latest OS X release.

They are clueless (well, they are right that it is not an hardware issue). I have not seen anyone saying a clean install fixed their problem, it did not for me, i clean installed 2 different computers, the iMac i clean installed 3 times and the MBP once, same problem. And i have FileVault off. Apple should troubleshoot why these freezes happens so frequently on regular Safari and almost never on STP, whats the difference between those 2 Safaris, it CANT be that hard for Apple to diagnose this issue, the problem have existed for over 2 months now. Click to expand. What is also appealing though is the fact that not a single Mac Rumors editor has actually bothered to pick this up - oh silly me, the front page needs to be spammed with crap like yet another rumour about original programming, the fact that WWDC will be held at roughly the same time as last year oh and yet another stupid rumour about a non-existent car.
Ah yes, numerous posts and complaints about freezing on 10.11.4 all play second fiddle to the mess that exists on the front page. Edit: For those using Chrome, remember to disable hardware acceleration when playing Flash movies - I have experienced freezing because it was enabled; it is now working ok with it disabled. I saw all, or almost all of you complaining about El Capitan 10.11.4. I have news for you. I have a 2015 MacBook Air 11 and I experience those freezes few times per day ever since I participated in the beta El Capitan, last July.
Reinstalling a fresh OS didn't help. It happens randomly and not only in Safari.
It can be any application. First, the infamous beachball of death.
It will still let me switch applications, but I can't do anything, mouse clicks and keyboard press are futile. Then after few seconds it won't let me do anything at all, just watch a frozen screen. At this point, nothing but a forced power off will take it out of the freeze. If I let it alone long enough, randomly between seconds and hours, it will display the black screen of death. After restart, it will provide me a report which I've sent to Apple each time.
From what I saw, each time it will complain about other application determining the freeze, and many times complaining about the video driver. I lost hope that Apple will ever fix this, as it's happening to me for 10 months or so, consistently, every day, one to 3 times a day.
Later edit: one more thing worth mentioning is that it doesn't even need human interaction to crash. Sometimes I let it in running/sleeping in the office and in the morning I find it frozen in the black screen of death, and very warm, if not hot.
